Sigiriya is famous for it's palace ruins on top of a massive 200 meter high rock surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs and other structures. But also with countless monkeys who chose this place as their place of residence.

Hi Zbigniew,
Nice side portrait of that monkey on a stone fence. Big tree trunk makes a good diagonal across the frame. Mix of sunshine and shadow make a good contrast result.

Hello Zbigniew,

Have you ever seen the 'Jungle Book'?
Your description of the location and the large number of monkeys, reminds me of that story and film.
It's a very sharp photograph of the monkey, the sun making its hair look golden, whilst the eyes are particularly sharp!
I like how you have used the wall and the tree branches as a natural frame.
