Photographer's Note
The center of rings is Polaris, took this picture spent two hours and couple cars and people passed with the lighter.

Hi Joyce
This is a real masterpiece, i have seen people take these shots before, but the hilltops in the foreground and the red snake formed traces from the cars are really a good bonus to a wonderful capture.
I love it!!!

Awesome photograph. Not only is the long exposure insteresting with the stars and car tail lights, but the patterns generated by the stars and car tail lights are quite engaging. Great idea and very well executed and composed.

Bonjour Joyce,
Une belle image qui nous ferait presque croire que la tran馥 orange est de la lave. On retrouve la pigmentation des films argentiques, sympa !

Hello Joyce
Truly an amazing photo.
Now as I have the thought in mind, how long exposure did you use for this?
As for the rest of the photo I have nothing but praise to share.
The light conditions, colour and composition looks just perfect. The compositon is well based as the road seems to follow exactly where one might look at chance and it further puts the attention of the viewer in the middle of the photo and the fabulous dragged effect of the stars.
Absolutely a magnificent photo.
Thank you for sharing.

Impressive. I find astrophotography very interesting, because it shows changes we can't notice in a moment. You managed such a perfect composition in the dark, well done. I suppose framing involved knowing a lot about the star movements, too.
I read about the project where a picture was being exposed for a year, not with a camera but with light-sensitive paper (or something like that). The final image was not of perfect quality, but the trails of stars and planets were incredible.

Hello Joyce !
Wonderfull and unreal effect ! It seems like an abstract painting, there is a good point of viw to the road.
Enfin je m'e'xprime mieux en fran軋is ;-) !! L'騁oile polaire est bien plac馥 avec ce contraste sur la ligne de montagne et en plus la route qui serpente, c'est tr駸 bien r饌lis.
Cordialement,
Anna

Hello,
Very nice photo. More than the star trail, it is the addition of both the sky and the lighted red road which makes the originality of this shot.
Digital brings a lot of benefits, but still for long time exposure, the slides were easier to use.
Yves.

Nice...
I would maybe like to see the bottom half sharper, but just nitpicking.
Great shot. Nice work.
