Photographer's Note
This was taken on the day one of Asia痴 biggest and busiest airports opened. To me Suvarnabhumi (New Bangkok) International Airport was like visiting a space station, especially on my second visit, at night. The 疎rms of the airport stretched what seemed like kilometres, with the strange, ultra-modern architecture. On opening day, swarms of media camera crews, military officials and hoards of tourists flocked to the massive structure. After walking across the taxiway to the aging Airbus 300, I was fortunate enough to get close enough to one of the massive engines before the brief flight to Phuket.
Today marks my first year anniversary of Trek Earth membership. Thank you to all your comments, critiques and helpful tips, it has made a great difference to my photography. I am running out of material, so I will have to get back out into the field once all these exams are over!

Hello Matthew,
This is a nicely composed photo of the colossal plane. By integrating a few people in the picture, you've provided a good perspective of the size. The b/w works well here. Finally, congratulations on your anniversary onboard Trekearth.
Warm regards from the diametrically opposite end of the earth than yours, Virginia.

Hi Matt. Good to see and read of your adventures visiting Thailand's newist airport. Your B&W is a creative way to show this close up of the sven there. Those jet engines have always amazed me thinking they run so long at such a speed without missing a beat. Keep up the good work. tfs. Murray.

Huge engines and little people! I wonder what is like to stand by these engines when they are working. It must be scary! Very good shot Matt. You truly caught my attention with this interesting display of power...Congratulations on your first anniversary. I hope we'll see more of your pictures soon.

hi matt
i like the choice of black and white here. the people next to the engine give us a good sense of size, while adding an interesting human touch. the composition has been really well timed too, which makes me appreciate it more. well done!

Hi Matthew,
I have a theme about this airport, to which i'll add this one ;D
Last time they didn't allow me to shoot photos on the tarmac though!
Good B&W adding to the industrial era feel, and fine framing on the jet engine.

Hello Matthew - I like this one very much - correct chice of BW (not color shot I suspect) - nice how you show the little men dwarfed by the enormous engines. Solid well composed shot.
best wishes,
Francis
