Photographer's Note
This was taken just as I was leaving. Didn't think too much about it at the time, but now I see that it shows an evolution of the ways we have used artificial light in connection with worship. Is it wrong to apply such a high and mighty meaning to an image if it wasn't in your head when you made it?
I have touched this up quite a bit for me. I selected the stained glass portions of the windows and boosted saturation by 30%, then selected the archways and boosted them by 25%. Then used the smudgy finger to smooth out some artifacts of this boost. Also burned the shadows on the stained glass madonnas face to make it more visile.

I like the colors of the stained glass and your exposure of the artificial light of the candles. Very well shot!

This is sooo weird. I never imagined Our Lady of Neon. I like how the stained glass windows are visible but without any over exposure. The stained glass contrasts well with the neon in theme and color.
