Photographer's Note
A lizard posing to my camera at Manuel Antonio Nature Reserve & Wildlife Refuge. I'm not sure about the species. But I think it's either common basilisk or brown basilisk.

Hello Kari, and thank you for your good observation about my latest agri-picture.
The immediate surrounding of the lizard was shaded and offered good camouflage for the specie itself.
Nonetheless, managed well the low-light condition and maintained a fine view overall.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hello Kari,
You chose the title well. It really looks like it's posing for you, keeping its head straight while resting its "hand" on the dry branch. It would have been easy to miss it among these branches looking very much like the lizard. There was a kind of very beautiful lizard that was very common in West Africa, but I never managed to take a good photo, so I'm impressed by this. Lizards move much more quickly than people.
Best regards,
Gert

Awkward critters, just as you have them perfectly framed they do a runner. So well done for capturing such a perfect pose.

Hello Kari,
An excellent portrait of this lizard, whose sunlit head stands out well from the darker background. He is nicely holding on to the branch, which helped to camouflage him a bit as well.

Hello Kari,
The play of light and shade here shows just how effective is this lizard's ability to camouflage itself - so you were very astute in managing to see it in the first place, let alone actually photograph it as well as you have!
Yes, a beautiful portrait of a beautiful creature, so well seen and taken in such difficult lighting conditions.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

he is steering at you and asking ''why are you in my territory without permission? Do you have a passport? Did you pay for visa? Get out of my kingdom'':)
Thanks for the picture

Hello Kari,
The shadowy setting made it difficult for you but it is a natural setting for the lizard. The lizard is clearer in the large format and really does appear to be posing for the camera, especially with the feet neatly holding the branch!
You have controlled the light well in this difficult environment.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
