The town of Sayaxche is on the south bank of the Rio de la Pasi. Guatemala has been having a worse than usual rainy season this year, with the remnants of Hurricane Matthew passing through just before we arrived in Pet駭 department. You can see some the consequences here - and by this time, the river had dropped from its crest.
