Photographer's Note
Hello friends and colleagues, today I offer this house in the charming village of Hallstatt, I discovered through the photos of a fellow TE. I hope you like it, then some letters on the villa.
Hallstatt / halʃtat / (Upper Austria) is a village in the mountainous district of Salzkammergut, Austria. It is located near Lake Hallst舩ter See.
Etymologically, the name probably comes from the Celtic Hall term that is called salt, abundant in nearby mines.
The town gives its name to the culture of the Iron Age called Hallstatt culture
In 1997, the cultural landscape of Hallstatt Dachstein was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
Until the nineteenth century the only possibility to reach the village was by boat or along narrow paths. The land between the mountains and the lake was low this little land being occupied by the town itself. Access between the houses and the lakeshore was carried through an elevated walkway over the attics. The first major road was built in 1890 by the west through the rock.
However in this isolated and inhospitable place one of the earliest human settlements were established thanks to salt deposits. Some of the oldest findings date from 5000 B.C. Hallstatt In 1846 Johann Georg Ramsauer discovered a prehistoric cemetery near the present site of the town. The research work continued until 1863 Ramsauer, unearthing more than 1,000 graves meticulously from the first to the last. Each pit was measured and drawn before and after being excavated. This study methodology deposits starts a new more methodical way to conduct archaeological studies.
Commercial activity and abundance of resources allowed the development of a highly developed, after results of Salzberghochtal culture, was named the Hallstatt culture.
There is to date registered notable events occurred in Hallstatt during the Roman era or early Middle Ages. In 1311, Hallstatt became a commercial city, showing he had not lost its economic value. Today, apart from salt production, which since 1595 is transported in the form of brine about 40 kilometers from Hallstatt to Ebensee through a pipe, tourism plays a major factor in the economic life of the city. Hallstatt tourists say the site is "the oldest line in the world", which was built 400 years ago from 13,000 hollowed-out logs. The land is so scarce that at ten bodies were exhumed from the cemetery to clear land for new graves being moved to an ossuary. A collection of elaborately decorated skulls with the names of their owners, professions and death dates inscribed on them are on display in the local chapel.

Hello Angel,
It's a beautiful house, well maintained and looking very cosy with the abundance of flowers on the balconies. The view of the building is perfectly framed by the forested hillside and the hedge. The colours are well saturated and the light is well managed.
Kind regards,
Gert

Ciao Angel
sono molto caratteristiche queste facciate, sia per l'architettura locale, sia per il gran numero di fiori che colorano le facciate.
Ottima la presenza dell'ombrellone, un elemento in pi e un colore in pi.
Saluti

Hola Angel,
your ability to bring out so many different details and textures in a setting of strong lighting contrasts is amazing. This view of Hallstatt is limited but impressively rich. You have placed and balanced the lines of your composition superbly, they define the scenery clearly and create a sense of order in the sea of details. The colours are delicious, the blue umbrella stands out as fine graphic detail. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,
Ourania

HI Angel
Austria, this is a country thats on my to visit list for sure.
and isn't it great when you visit a place because you've seen it on TE, just like what you have done here.
it would be wonderful to be able to go inside this place, I wonder how it looks. it has a very charming and photogenic outer appearance. the UP pov works well, and the green trees in the bg help to balance off the colours. nice one.
cheers

Hello Angel,
The three clumps of purple flowers add a nice splash of color to the old wooden house and the patch of blue sky top right adds a similar color tone. Good sharpness and an excellent note. Tfs!
