Photographer's Note

This is the church bell tower of the little town of Werfen, south of Salzburg. The onion dome is typical of churches in Austria. It is clad in wooden shingles, which is common in this part of Austria. In the background is the limestone mountain range of the Tennengebirge which dominates the view from Werfen.

Hello Vincent,

The details of the onion-shaped dome are really crisp, especially in the large version. It's a good crop, with the gold of the cross and of the upper tower, sandwiching the dark tiles, for a very attractive contrast.
I can see why you chose to show this, it stands so tall and important, mimicking the b/g peaks.

Great composition, I really like this combination of the tower and the mighty peaks in the background. There is a juxtaposition between the rounded dome and the craggy mountains but a similarity in the sky-pointing shape too.

A great combination of the tall, rocky mountain peaks in the distance and the elegant church tower in the foreground. Its yellow parts stand out particularly well, too. Well spotted.

amazing composition. You have very well combined the interesting silhouette of the tower with the panorama of the mountains in the back. Two very strong elements.
I like the orange colors of the church tower- it adds a nice touch.

Missed this one. The onion domed top of the spire adds an exotic touch to this scene. The 2 rocky peaks in the bg remind me of the Grand Tetons in the USA. Good colour contrasts of yellow and blue with excellent sharpness and lighting. Tfs!
