Photographer's Note

This is a view from the keep of the castle of Hochosterwitz, looking west. Hochosterwitz is one the most impressive castles in Austria, strategically perched on top of a steep hill with views all around.

The cumulonimbus storm cloud grew larger during the hot and humid afternoon and it rained in the evening. This happened nearly every day when we were in Austria in 2018 - it was the weather you expect on a tropical island. The locals were all asking "When is this crazy weather going to end?" They are probably asking the same question right now.

This is a fine photograph with a great sense of depth, created by giving such sharp details to the features of the castle, the scene blurring effectively in the distance.
We certainly gain the effect that the castle is dominantly positioned, high above the surrounding land.

Hello Vincent, a good high point of view with the interesting rooftops of the castle a strong feature in the foreground.
The countryside beyond and the beautiful cloud formation all add up to a lovely shot.

What a lovely panorama picture, for me a real weather picture as well as use on TV in forecast as well everyday I do.
Also the background makes your picture attractive

Interesantan i lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lepi krovovi, zelena polja i planine u pozadini, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa oblacima koji dolaze i najavljuju promenu vremena.
