Real a ghost city, I致e seen nobody, this is good for health but absolutely not normal. This is real WAR against corona

Damme is a case in point.

But light rain and fog formation prevent me from getting a nice connection with the heavenly colours.

A new bike trip faraway of people for COVID 19

This photo was taken in the afternoon, many people do not want to stay at home anymore, but the government is allowed to cycle or walk.
But keep enough distance, I saw that most people respect this.

Boat LAMME GOODZAK

Member Malgo from Poland, has this trip done, was very satisfied.

Enjoy nature and culture With the Lamme Goedzak you sail from historic Bruges to the lovely Damme. Enjoy the unique landscape for half an hour on both sides of the canal that connects Bruges with Sluis (NL). A trip to picturesque Damme really pays off.
Discover the city of Tijl and Nele. Visit the Uilenspiegel
Museum or take a look around in Damme Boekendorp. (Book village)
You can also take lovely walks in the middle of nature. Damme is more than worth a detour for a nice chat in a nice pub or for a fine gourmet dinner in a cosy restaurant.
On the way back, enjoy the beautiful polders from the deck of the Lamme Goedzak or have a chat afterwards with a drink in the bar.

Interesantan i lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lep kanal sa kucama i zelenim drvecem na obali. Lep brob na kanalu.
Lepo pokazano sa dobrom perspektivom, dobro uhvacen trenutak, lepe boje.
Dobar tekst o koriscenoj tehnici i elementima snimka.
Zelim vam lepu i mirnu noc, sve najbolje.

Een mooi perspectief van de lange vaart, die mooi uit de lichte mist tevoorschijn komt. De huizen langs het kalme water en ook het schip worden mooi weerspiegeld. De compositie is uitstekend in balans.

Hi John,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The length of the canal or river is giving depth and perspective to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the houses and of the boat. It is quiet because everyone is staying inside their home. Have a nice day.

Hallo John, the pov creates an excellent depth. We can see houses on one side of the canal whereas a line of trees is planted on the opposite side. A barge is moored in that place. The weather was foggy that day. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hello John,
I really think that rain, or at least grey clouds, often make a photo better. The colours are milder and more harmonious and the photo gets softer and more pleasant to the eye. This is already a pleasant view of the buildings lining the canal a long way into the distance and the sightseeing boat lying empty and abandoned. There is a strong atmosphere, and when we know the circumstances we can say it's an atmosphere of sadness. But it's nevertheless a good photo.

Hallo John,
Tja, het zonnetje is er tijdens de voorbije week niet altijd meer geweest.
Vandaag in mei hadden we hier in Brabant aprilse grillen (met hagel) en daarna terug zon.
Zou Lamme Goedzak nu nog ooit opnieuw uitvaren?
Mooi met het zicht op het kanaal tot aan de einder.
Je vroeger cafeetje staat niet op de foto, denk ik.

Hello John,

The weather might not have been in your favour with light rain and fog but you still managed to take a wonderful photograph, perfectly composed with the line of the canal drawing the eye into the image perfectly. The boat, perfectly placed, adds to the appeal as also do the lovely reflections of the houses in the calm water. And the colours are rich too - something which often comes about after a shower of rain.

Hello John,

Yes, it's good to report that most people are respecting the social distancing and staying at home, only going out when necessary, or for exercise.
I went for a walk yesterday and only met two other people!

The misty weather has given a whole new atmosphere to your photographs but has not affected the quality of the composition or exposures.
The canal is a super vehicle for guiding us inwards, for creating a fine sense of perspective from the buildings and for collecting some lovely refections.
The tourist boat is a good focal point and strongly placed.

Lovely scenic sweeping canal scape; I can Hear the Stillness and See the Stillness. An interesting effect with water smoothed as glass and other features in sharp focus along with nice bit of spring colours. The boat is in a perfect position just so peaceful to look, Congrats

Dag John,
De Lamme Goedzak ligt hier fraai te spiegelen in de Damse Vaart.
Het nevelige weer past mooi bij dit verstilde landschap. Hier kan je in alle rust even wegwezen van de akelige viruswerkelijkheid.
Ik ben net nog even langs Zandvoort gefietst waar vandaag voor het eerst sinds jaren de grandprix verreden zou worden. Nu was het er gelukkig heerlijk rustig.

The wheel-river-boat is a nice object along the canal scenery, John.
Even as fog and low light prevailed, managed a fine view to its length, and a reflection of the houses and boat.

The perspective of this beautiful composition is superb, with those diagonals formed by the banks of the canal, the line of facades and the canal itself and everything seems to unite at a point in the distance, the ship is a beautiful complement to the landscape.

I really like your picture with buildings along the canal on which a small paddle-wheel is moored. In States we have big ones which are cruising on Mississippi River. The calm water give beautiful reflection to your picture.
