Poelberg mill

Woestijnbosstraat Tielt

This wooden stake mill on four dancers, dates from 1726 and is simply a gem.
Maybe you are lucky, and while you walk or bike, you'll find the mill in action!
The Poelberg mill literally and figuratively shows off in the beautiful landscape of the Poelberg.
The earliest year that can be found on the mill itself, is 1726. After much toil, the mill was finally milled again in the early 90s.
And the result can be seen!
Cyclists and hikers often keep their pit stop for a cozy picnic with a view of the mill or just to blow out.

Lepo pokazano, dobra perspektiva i kontrast, lepe boje, lepo uhvacen trenutak.

Another topclass capture/entry in your gallery.At first instance I thought it's from Holland but is from Belgium. Photographycally perfect with good pov and ligth management and sharpness. Usfull notes.

The road leads my eyes toward the mill which is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the windmill. The light ia making the colours to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hallo John,
Ditmaal een niet zo gekende molen. Tielt is voor mij dan ook volledig ongekend.
Een heel mooie compositie met de bocht in de weg vlak voor de molen.
De fietsster in het rood brengt wat extra kleur op deze overwegend groen-blauwe foto.

Hello John,
The old windmill is surprisingly bright with the red and white wings, and the cyclist wearing red clothes adds another bright splash of colours. The grass was incredibly green on this lovely, sunny day in spring. It's an attractive composition with the road as a good lead into the view.

Hello John,

It is an old mill and I am so glad that it has been restored so that it can still be admired as an icon of the area, as well as being useful for grinding!
How lucky you were, to have a cyclist in red on the road as you took the shot! The red clothes are a nice link to the red stripes on the sails of the mill!
As always, you have composed the photograph beautifully, using the road as a guide, and placing the focal mill so strongly in the frame. I love how its sails stand out so proudly against the blue sky.
The colours are nicely saturated in this bright light.
