Bicycle accident

Almost everyone had already read about my accident.
Typing with one hand, not usual.
A car just did not see me and brought me to a fall, not really under the car, but I got a slap against my bicycle bags that caused me to fall.
Result thumb shatter, (10 fractures in one thumb) wrist dislocated, shoulder slight dislocation, battered knee.
Bicycle must be properly repaired.
According to the Doktor at beginning 2020 normal, I hope!

I have to take photos from my archive.

One of my loving photos, this photo is from my 2015 archive.
The trees are perfectly aligned, it is so beautiful that someone once called this "a cathedral of trees".
Along the Leopold Canal also runs and away but with interruptions for cars.
Highly recommended for walkers.

Lepo paokzano sa dobrom perspektivom, lepo uhvacen trenuta.

Hallo John,
Reeds de herfsttinten duidelijk zichtbaar op de foto.
Ze contrasteren mooi met de kleur van de lucht en het water.
Een andere wondermooie kanaalfoto die deze streek zo wereldberoemd gemaakt heeft op TE.
Ik hoop dat je spoedig terug langs deze kalme wegen zal kunnen fietsen.
Prachtige scherpe voorgrond met het riet en de vele gevallen bladeren.
Uiteraard trekken de weerspiegelingen van de boomstammen mijn aandacht.

Hello John,
You have shown us similar views many times before, but the yellow trees and yellow grass and shrubs on both sides of the canal make this one a bit special. The top of the trees and the grassy slope across the water are perfectly hit by the sun and seem to glow like gold. The diagonals are as always a great benefit to the composition and the long line of trees create fine depth.

Hello John,

I wish you a speedy recovery. It must be so frustrating not to have the full use of your hand. However, with photographs, like this, in your archives, you will still be able to show us some charming scenes.

This is the epitome of Belgium!
The canal, cutting directly across the lowlands and edged with tall, protective trees, is what I imagine with regard to the country.
This is a really well composed photograph, strongly placed features, guiding succinctly to a strong vanishing point.
The warm colours inform us of the time of year and the reflections add that little extra artistry.

A pristine canal scene using the strong converging lines to lead ones eye into the whole depth which is perfectly balanced by the verticals. Great dof, fantastic sharpness and deep autumnal warm colouring which is so stunningly set off to the background. The shiny reflection is another strong point! Great shot

Hallo John, i wish you a good recovery after that bicycle accident, i admit it's not easy to type on the computer with one hand. Tell you that it could have been worse. The Leopold canal is a recommanded recreational area to relieve stress, to walk and breath. Although the big trees were lined artificially, they were planted, they create an aesthetic hedge along the water. Splendid yellow/green autumn colors.

I am so sorry to hear about your accident. Paul has first mentioned it and then of course I have seen your note s already but here for the first time I read the details.
It really teaches is how fragile human life is, and how easy it is to change the quality of life by an accident.
Let's hope you get fast back to normal shape.

I hope you have some good archives until you fully recover. I suppose the damage is to the hand which you use to take photos...
