MALDEGEM � KLEIT between Bruges and Ghent

Photo taken in the early morning at -2ｰ Celsius.
Almost all my photos are taken during my daily bike rides.

Kleit is a church village in the municipality of Maldegem (Belgium) south of the place Maldegem with an area of 2150 ha. On December 31, 2007, the village had 2627 inhabitants. The name 'Clay' comes from the thick clay layer that is present here close to the surface. The inhabitants of Kleit are called 'Kleitenaars'. Their nickname is 'the 澱roombinders�, after the relatively many 澱roombinders� who used to live in the area.
Kleit has existed as an independent parish since 1857. There is a neo-Gothic church from 1863, which is dedicated to Saint Vincentius a Paulo. This church has a pulpit with fine carvings from 1661 and a baroque-style tabernacle. There are also wall paintings in the church. Outside the church are chapels in honor of Saint Anthony Abbot and Saint Cornelius.
My photo shows the entrance to one of the surface water reservoirs to collect excess water and prevent flooding

Lep pogled i trenutak, interesantan i dobar tekst ...
lepa priroda, dobro pokazano sa lepim boajma, kontartsom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa oblacima.

Hello John,
The cold weather is obvious from the frost covering the ground and bushes. But cold mornings can also be beautiful, like this one with its fine sky and mild colours. The river and the road make two nice parallel curves and disappear behind trees. It's a nice composition and very well exposed.

Een andere ijskoude maar prachtige vroege ochtendfoto!
Mooie voorgrond met de vorst op het gras en op de planten langs de waterkant.
Prachtige wolkenlijnen in de lucht.
Licht en kleuren zorgen voor een uitstekend beeld.

Beautiful composition with very well pronounced frost in a natural setting. The sun is about to rise and we see first rays of the sun on the house in the distance.

Brrr...zo koud is het hier in 't stad nog niet geweest dit jaar, John, en dat vind ik eigenlijk niet erg, we houden niet zo van de kou. Heel knappe natuur- en weerfoto. Mooi samengestelde compositie.

Beautiful view of a frosty morning. Nice to see some sunshine on the building on the left. The canal looks very still, but I guess it is not frozen. Thin clouds are quite impressive.

Hello John,

Looks very cold and frosty. Good sharpness and excellent shadow detail. The yellow red cottage in sunlight at left contrasts well with the blue sky. Tfs!
