City Garden II, a photo from Sofia City, West

Photographer's Note

Another shot of the City Park near the theatre in Sofia. Around 40 cm of snow and -19c overnight. Usually I am too slow to catch fresh snow before it melts or becomes dirty or slushy, but here I succeeded.

It`s the oldest and most central public garden, in existence since 1872.

In my town today the first snow of the this year fell.
A very nice view, this city garden makes impression.

Hello Chris,
-19 would have been normal where - and when - I grew up, but now I would hate it. Clean, fresh snow is okay to look at, as in this nice photo. The snow is still resting on the branches of the trees and there are blue patches in the sky. It also benefits the photo that the curving path has been cleared.

La premi鑽e chute de neige de la saison est tomb� sur l'ﾎle de Montr饌l le 26 novembre 2021. La prise de vue permet de voir les d騁ails des arbres enneig駸 et des immeubles. Le reflet de la lumi鑽e dur la neige fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne journ馥.

Hello Chris,
Today we got the first snowfall of the winter. But only in the southeast of the country which is the highest part.
And of course no sceneries like this one from Bulgaria.
In Belgium you would have to be very quick to photograph fresh snow. Due to a dense population and heavy traffic, it quickly becomes a dirty gunk.
Beautiful winter landscape in Sofia Park. Very nice with the curve of the road.
The yellow facades add more colour to the photo.

I love the views with snow and this one with the beautiful and varied trees full of snow is beautiful, the touch of color in the sky and the houses is a great component to the dominant white.

Winter scenes are so pretty, at least at the beginning while the snow is fresh. :-) I like how the colors of the buildings break up the mostly white palette. The different types of trees add nice detail, too. Take care!
