Photographer's Note

This is potter's workshop in the "Street of forgotten time" in Karanac, Croatia.
"Street of Forgotten Time" is a project started in 2004 with the idea of becoming an accompanying content of the restaurant "Baranjska kuća" in whose space it is located.
The street has been growing all this time to show itself to you in full glory today. It consists of a total of seven old barns which house a potter's, carpenter's and cooper's workshop, a weaving workshop, a barber shop and an inn "Pod kruskom".
In "Street of forgotten time" there is also a mill where we grind a part of our corn flour, a blacksmith's house built in the traditional Baranja way - with mud and chaff and a glacier where ice from the Danube used to be kept, and above it there is a lookout view of the entire village of Karanac, Baranja Mountain and beautiful vineyards.
All workshops are fully equipped and ready to work, and masters often work in them. The interesting thing about "Street of forgotten time" lies in the fact that it is parallel to the street that was named "Obrtnička ulica"
or Craftmen street almost 80 years ago, where there were over 30 craftsmen , and among them Geza Borba who made the first kulen in 1905, due to of which kulen is originally a Baranja product. The goal of the Street of Forgotten Time is to show our guests all the crafts that are or are becoming forgotten, and to revive them over time.
