Ulica Knezova Posedarskih in the Old Town, Zadar, Croatia.
Another image from this year's sailing trip up to the top of the Adriatic. We discovered that the Adriatic is a dead end, so next year it's back down south again. We'll get the boat back to England one of these days!
Zadar's Old Town was impressive, with the Roman Forum, the largest on the eastern side of the Adriatic, founded by the first Roman Emperor Augustus, and the Church of St. Donatus, a monumental round building from the 9th century in pre-Romanesque style and the most important preserved structure of its period in Dalmatia. Among others. I took photos of these of course, but have elected to show you a more domestic scene from one of the little alleys that criss-cross the Old Town. It seemed so emblematic and characteristic.

Hi Will. So you have been to the town where my dad was born and where i lived for a number of years as a boy. The other town was Biograd not far from radar. An old wall that has seen many generations hanging out their washing. Nice abstract art created by the weather. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi dear Will
Great angle shot. Nice usage of wide and low-up setting makes gerat drama and story. The best composition and frameworked image. Corrosioned wall is very very tasty.
All the best and have a good day! Takero

Hello Will,
A fine array of washing on display here featuring all shapes and sizes. It sits well against the rather dilapidated wall. I like very much the colours and textures to be observed therein.

Hello Will,
I like this view of the laundry from straight below, where the emphasis is almost as much on the wall. The washing has been hung quite neatly, with the pink items on one side and the blue and purple on the other. All of them match the worn patches on the wall quite nicely. The 430 sign is a fine little detail.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Will,
The clothing in the washing show almost always the owner.
Almost all clothing of a lady, but the wall with blue colours is a soft contrast against the clothing.
A very fine picture.
Sharpness and clarity make your picture nice.
Composition and colours are very well.
Nice done, tFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hello Will ,
Of course , the peeling painted facade and the washing make a good subject . but what is especially attractive here are the perspective , and the harmonius palet of pastel tonalities .

Hi Will
Good choice of this "domestic" scene, at least for me! :-)
I love the creative angle - most people would have taken a few steps back and come up with a classic/cliche windows+washing line shot. What is also great, is that the colours of the peeling paint match the ones of the drying clothes.
One of my favs on TE!
Best wishes

Dear Will,
The best drying apparatus ever invented, given that the weather is good. :) The clothes and the crumbling walls are making an excellent composition.
Best Regards,
Gy.

Hello Will,
I really like the angle that you have chosen, in a crude sort of way, it's like looking up the clothes, rather than getting the more normal, horizontal view!
Although the painted wall is drastically peeling, photographically, it makes an exciting abstract b/g for your featured articles.
You have seen and registered the opportunity well.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Will
You have such a knack for taking an ordinary mundane situation and making it sing with the effective vibrant colouring. A different take on laundry! Well done shot, Best regards

Ciao Will
Excellent upward POV, great light management and superb textures with the chipped blue paint. The hanging washing conjures memories of Italy and I love the inclusion of the house number. Excellent work, very arty farty.
Best wishes

Hello Will,
I've never been there but I've gathered the impression (from films, pictures or literature, perhaps) that this part of Europe has the atmsopehere of a "dead end". Your composition gives me this idea too, it's like our way is blocked and the only way left is up. The perspective is superb, the chromatic consistency is amazing. I also like the contrasting textures and the random patterns and layers of peeling paint all over. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania
