Photographer's Note

Today we look at the ruins of Rab Castle. Today, Rab is the ruins of a castle above the town of the same name. The castle lies on an elevated promontory on the river Otava at an altitude of 540 meters. It was probably founded in the first half of the 13th century. At the end of the 14th century, the castle was enlarged. The reconstruction was late Gothic. The front of the new part of the castle is occupied by a building called New Rooms.

Dnes se podv疥e na zřceninu hradu Rab. Rab je dnes zřcenina hradu nad stejnojmennm městečkem. Hrad le橲 na vyv啼n駑 ostrohu na řekou Otavou v nadmořsk v喞e 540 metrů. Byl pravděpodobně zalořen v prvn polovině 13.stolet. Koncem 14. stolet byl hrad roz夬řen. Přestavba byla pozdně gotick. Čelo nov č疽ti hradu zaujm budova zvan Nov pokoje.
