6 am - Charles Bridge - I like when there are not many people.

Charles Bridge is a historic bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the beginning of the 15th century. The bridge replaced the old Judith Bridge built 1158�1172 that had been badly damaged by a flood in 1342. This new bridge was originally called Stone Bridge (Kamenn� most) or Prague Bridge (Pra枹k� most) but has been "Charles Bridge" since 1870.
The bridge is 621 metres (2,037 ft) long and nearly 10 metres (33 ft) wide, following the example of the Stone Bridge in Regensburg, it was built as a bow bridge with 16 arches shielded by ice guards. It is protected by three bridge towers, two on the Lesser Quarter side (including the Mal� Strana Bridge Tower) and one on the Old Town side, the Old Town Bridge Tower. The bridge is decorated by a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries, most of them baroque-style, originally erected around 1700 but now all replaced by replicas.

Hello Piotr,
I guess it is quite an achievement to capture this bridge without any people. The only living soul seen here is the pigeon in the foreground. Good low viewpoint, which shows the landmarks in the background really well.

Cześc Piotrze, jakaś originalna data - 2016-00-00 :). No tak, zobaczyć Most Karola z jednym tylko gołębiem i całkiem bez ludzi to jest rzeczywiscie coś. Ja też wybrałasm sie w Pradze wcześnie rano, co mi sie często zdarza, i było malo ludzi, a wcale gołębi.

its very odd to see this historic bridge without any foot traffic on it. its great to see :) Really nice Gothic feeling and atmosphere to the scene. it must have been very early in the morning. fun shot, good for you to get up early to capture it. cheers

Hi Piotr,

The pigeon is an eye-catcher. The point of view is showing the details of the of the bridge and of the tower. The cloudy sky does not hurt the output of the colors. Have a nice day.

It's nice to see you again. And it's nice to see this famous bridge without a hundred tourists. The lonely pigeon fills the foreground well, and the low perspective gives us a good view of the tower and the buildings behind it.

Yes, you have to get up very early to avoid the crowds on the Charles Bridge. Your keenness has paid off with only the solitary pigeon for company; resulting in an unusual perspective on the bridge free of people. Excellent rendering of the colours and details despite the unfavourable light.

Excellent depth of field gives us such a low view over the cobblestones of the Charles Bridge to the tower and the surrounding buildings.
A beautiful sight under gray clouds and pigeons is a bonus for photography.

What happened? Was there a bomb scare? Usually this bridge is packed. It's quite startling to only see a lonely pigeon on this normally very crowded bridge. Tfs!
