Photographer's Note
Why Amadeus will TE viewers wonder ?
Most people know that Milos Forman filmed many sequences of his "Amadeus " feature in Prague, and I never forgot these arches so close to Stare Mesto, Prague's extremely popular Grand Square.
But finding the arches free of crowds was a real challenge, and as usual I took my time. I used a long lens and because I had no tripod I preferred a very short exposure.

Hello Izzet. This is one of my favorite movies actually (and I knew that they used Prague locations to create the late-18th Century setting), not least for Miroslav Ondricek's magnificent cinematography in that movie. Your photo - almost reminiscent of a papier d馗oup - makes a fine use of the graphical impact that is created by the repetitive arches and the shadows. The female silhouette is beautifully placed in the frame. I am glad you left the subtle colors intact, as opposed to going b&w with this one.

Ol Izzet, what an incredible good capture. Good that you have time to achieve such perfection. Simple and sooo good. Graphical and isolating one single soul, so well placed - this is the kind of work I love more from you. No dogs seen here, though :)))
My cats just had the best time of their life in the countryside ;-)
Friendly regards,

This is a very striking image! The repeated line of arches, with the light coming through at just the right angle, makes a wonderful shot by itself. When you add in the woman, abosolutely silhoeted but perfectly positioned in one of the arches, this becomes an extraordinary image. Amazing work!

The composition is certainly quite simple but very powerful, Izzet. The placement of the ladies silhoutte is perfect. I wonder why you only took the upper part and not the whole figure. I guess that there must have been somethingin the bottom that you didn't want to take into the composition.

Dear Izzet bey
The pattern of arches and the favolous silhouette of the lady is a typical Keribar style. I m very glad to see your last pictures in the field. Best regards. It's marvellous with great impact. ihsan

Wonderful repetition of the arches, with the silhouette of the woman nicely breaking the pattern. Good sharpness & effective tight framing. Tfs!

Yes, I remember those arches in Amadeus and had then decided to visit Prague as soon as possible--so I did. Here the austere curves of the arches, the row of clean shadows and walls, the severe geometrical elements complement the deliciously attractive feminine form. Wonderful photo.
