Photographer's Note

The interior of the Saint Vitus Cathedral is fantastic. Among the most beautiful features are the stained-glass windows. A number of successful Czech artists were involved in the creation of those windows. Among them Alfons Mucha well known Czech Art Nouveau artist and Max 革abinsk�, one of the most remarkable and successful Czech artists in the early 20th century. He was also one of the few representatives of modern art that was accepted by the Czechoslovak communist regime. A nice biography on Max 革abinsk� and also some pictures of his paintings could be seen in the website of the international services of the Cezch Radio. Hello Ulf,

This is a very beautiful image of the stained glass window at Saint Vitus Cathedral. The colors and resolution are excellent. If you don't regard it as meddling, I would like to offer a workshop. In Photoshop, I am widening the upper part, as if you were viewing the window head-on, rather than from below.

What a beauty Ulf. Stained glass windows can be difficult to shoot as it is too easy to over-expose them. You have done a wonderful job and the vivid colours show up perfectly. Thanks also to your crop in the WS we can see even more clear details. Good work

beautiful color magic in stained glass... earlier i had a collection of lots of stained glass painting... mainly of bible scenes... very nicely you framed it with good clarity...

Stained glass windows usually make beautiful photos, but with this one you have achieved a piece of art. All the details are very sharp, and I like the dominance of blues, as well as the brightness of the other colours and the light that comes out of it.

I really admire such photos, since I've never succeeded in capturing a stained-glass windows well. This picture is great with beautiful and highly attractive colours and a very good management of the light. Very well done and thanks for sharing!
