Among the most beautiful features of the Saint Vitus Cathedral in Prague are the stained-glass windows. A number of successful Czech artists were involved in the creation of those windows. The most spectacular window of them all is this one by Alfons Mucha. He is definitively the most famous Czech Art Nouveau artist. In particular he is famous for his posters for the theatre of Sarah Bernhardt in Paris. However, Mucha also made book illustrations, ornamental panels, advertisements, jewellery and architectural designs and many other thinks. Hi Ulf,
Definatley an interesting piece of art from Mucha. I remember the same kinds of stained glass of Art Noveau in the cathedrals of Brussels and Vienna. After seeing the classical Catholic ones in Rome, they felt so fresh to see those different characterizations of faces. This Mucha is no exception. TFS,
