Back door to the castle, a photo from Frederiksborg, East

Photographer's Note

If one leaves the touristy part of Kronborg castle and goes just west along the fortified water front, one will come to this door in the wall. Beyond it, one is in a park like area. It's a nice change from the tourist trail around the castle.

I love the shots where one can look through and see something else. Unfortunately, I still haven't mastered taking them. I liked the color and look of the door, with the park beyond. So here is my latest attempt, at a peep hole type picture.

Indeed a beautiful look through this door.
the red colour matches with what we see through the door.
This sort of compositions are allways nice.

Hello Kate,
You have made a good, bold image from this marvellous red door and the view beyond. The colours and the textures are interesting. The colours of the view through the door are slightly lost - this is a problem with a big contrast in background and foreground. I have done a WS to strengthen them - I hope this is OK. This is a very effective shot, I like it very much indeed. Well done!

Hi Kate.
Excellent and well prepared composition.
I think the problem with the "weaker" colors seen through has more to do with a white balance offset coming from the massive redness in the picture.
