Photographer's Note
On the Canal of Briare, a whole series of ponds outfalls was create in order to ensure his level of depth. On these ponds live ducks, geese, swans and water hens.
I set the zoom only on the head of this greedy goose.
This day there the luminosity was not very favorable, I had to push the sensitivity at 400 ISO.
Focale distance: 480 mm

very strong shot didi , very very sharp and the colors is great , it is very good idea to make the rest of the body blurring .. i feel the nib of the duck is going out of your photo ... we can study here all the rules of shooting , you are not alone :0))

A perfect DOF and a proof that you do not allways have to show the whole thing, the portrait and the the blurred tail tells us it is a goos anyway. Very well done Said!

TRES bonne macro animali鑽e sur les d騁ails et les couleurs.
Le orange vers le rouge au niveau du bec est superbe !
le seul petit defaut � mes yeux c'est la profondeur , car dans un sens c'est tr鑚 bon car cela met bien en valeur la tete de l'oie mais on a du mal � voir que c'est l'arriere du l'animal, au premier regard on se demande ce qu'est cette partie blanche. C'est peut etre aussi parce que l'on n'est pas habitu� a ce type de cadrage.
En tout cas la tete est superbe !

Une telle nettet�, avec une si longue focale, chapeau. C'est qu'en plus, il s'agit de ne pas trembler. Excellent, Sa�d.

Wow, what the heck ...
An excellent and admirable shot, Saïd. The DOF is splendid, and the sharpness and detail of the goose's head and neck is great. Interesting how the orange color of the "nose" and beak is echoed in the eye. Great shot.

Il faudrait 黎re difficile pour ne pas appr馗ier la qualit� de la photographie. R騏ssite totale quant � la nettet�. Les couleurs claquent comme le linge par grand vent.

La longue focale qui 馗rase la perspective offre � ce bec d'un orange 馗latant un gris bleu qui harmonise le clich�. Quel piqu� et quelle nettet� pour une photo � 400 iso sur une si longue focale. Peux tu nous donner des pr馗isions sur le couple ouverture vitesse que tu as utilis� ? Ce canon 300 D commence s駻ieusement � me tenter. Ce qui est sur c'est qu'il est au service d'un sacr� oeil.

It's alive!! Amazing sharpness and DOF. Very effective angle. It is going to jump out of the frame, thanks god it's only a duck, it might be very scary shot if it was a shark!

Quelle belle photo, Georges. Le t駘� en fait une image tr鑚 originale, o� l'apparence de cette oie est moins importante que l'effet produit. Un tr鑚 harmonieux m駘ange de couleurs, de formes, de plans superpos駸 en net et en flou. Plus que l'oie elle-m麥e, c'est l'interaction de ces diff駻ents plans qui est tr鑚 r騏ssie. Bravo!

La mise au point est bien faite sur l'oeil et la faible profondeur de champ donne beaucoup de relief.

An up close and personal study of a goose. Your composition is well thought off Said. The geese's face is so prominent and attracting while the background is blur but still attractive to hold the attention.
