Ancienne Douane

This little square is found in the heart of the old town of Colmar. The most prominent building, on the right hand side, is the Ancienne Douane (Old Custom House, also known as Ko�fhus). It is a Gothic and Renaissance building, built in 1480 with 16th and 18th century modifications. It is now a restaurant and houses temporary exhibitions. The street at left is called Grand Rue.

ﾄnnu en fin bild som verkar bekr臟ta att det h舐 gr舅somr蘚et 舐 v舁 v舐t ett bes. En irl舅dsk pub 舐 v舁 inte det jag t舅ker p� i fsta hand inf en resa till Alsace, men det finns s臾ert andra st舁len med lite mer lokal mat och dryck. Husen har fina f舐ger och n舖tan alla har sin egen stil. Gott om folk som livar upp vyn 舐 det ocks�.

Hello Lars,
Colmar has special charm though it is smaller town than Strasbourg, I found a pleasnt place to stroll and taking pictures (06/2013).
The subdued light added reddish hue to the building which are superbly presented here. Fine outcome for this enliven photo.

Goedenavond Lars,

Het lijkt me een gezellige plaats wet de oude gebouwen.
Ook de straat met kasseien, maar in figuur gelegd.
De bezoekers zijn precies allemaal rustig, geen haast met kinderen.
Mooie samenstelling en perfect presentatie.
Zeer goed foto werk. Bedankt

Hello Lars,

Colmar is a beautiful town .. an excellent complement following on from Strasbourg!
Your photograph shows us the distinctive character of the houses and the patterns created by the road cobbles.
The exit route from the square is strongly positioned, right on the thirds line.
The scene is livened by the tourists.

Dit lijkt wel een foto uit een sprookjesboek.
Het plein oogt heel pittoresk en charmant.
Prachtige architectuur. Zelfs het dak rechts vooraan is heel speciaal.
Een mooie wolkenlucht siert de achtergrond.

Hello Lars, I do not know Colmar, so it is very interesting to view your shots from this charming place.
The buildings each have an individual style with lovely roof shapes and beautiful details.
I like the various groups of people; one can imagine their conversations!
