Ice Cream in Strasbourg

Back to Strasbourg last summer. This is a small square in the historic centre of the city, called Place du March�-aux-Cochons-de-Lait. It is surrounded by many half-timbered houses and not far away from the Cath馘ral Notre-Dame de Strasbourg either, its spire can be seen in the background.

Hallo Lars,
Bij dergelijke mooie gevels hoort een gezellig pleintje en daar kan natuurlijk best van een ijsje gesnoept worden.
Mooie compositie waarbij de reusachtige ijskreem en de dichtgevouwen parasols naar de toren bovenaan wijzen.

Hej Lars,
Husen 舐 vackra och gatan ser trevlig ut, men det 舐 ju 'glasstruten' som drar blickarna till sig. Det 舐 fst蚶 en ganska kitschig reklamskylt, men f舐gerna och formen 舐 omliga att undvika, och p� ett lustigt s舩t balanseras den fint av kyrktornet i bakgrunden. En fin fening av kultur och turism.

Goedenavond Lars,

Een wandeling door het picturesque Strasbourg, moet zeer aangenaam zijn.
Ik hou echt van het gezellig kuieren, langs de winkels, de eet en drankgelegenheden.
Maar de oude architectuur spreek mij enorm aan.
De Duitse invloeden zo merkbaar, en mooi aanschouwelijk.
Prachtig foto werk, bedankt.

Truly beautiful square surrounded by historic buildings. I have visited Strasbourg briefly, but I don't remember this location. So maybe I should make another visit. Church tower is quite impressive and I like the ice-cream cone too.

This is a giant ice cream. It makes a lovely original foreground for the old town of Strasbourg.
In addition to the tower you have well included also the traditional stylish house.

I found my old photos from Strassburg but their quality is not acceptable to share so I will just enjoy your photos from this beautiful town,

Hello Lars, an excellent idea to include the giant cone of ice-cream in the foreground, it enlivens the scene.
There are some interesting buildings, which look quite old.

Hello Lars,

What a bright, colourful scene!
The huge ice-cream anchors the f/g and from there, the patterned cobbles guide us past the the stalls to the magnificent, timber-framed building!
The exit on the left takes us to beautiful, flower-decorated balconies and on to further timber-framed buildings.
No wonder the place is alive with tourists! There is so much to see in a relatively small place!

If I found a large ice cream cone like this, I would definitely stop to take a photo of myself trying to eat it. ;-) The bright colors are eye-catching, and all the surrounding architecture is beautiful. I like the flowers in some of the windows, too. Take care!
