Maison Kammerzell

This photo was taken in the same square as yesterday痴 post � the cathedral was to my right � and its shows Place de la Cath馘rale. In the middle of the photo is one of the most famous houses of the city, called Maison Kammerzell. It was built in 1427 in late Gothic style and is one of the best preserved houses from this era.

Kammerzell-byggnaden 舐 verkligen fantastisk, n舖tan s� att jag knappt kan fatta att n虍ot s� gammalt och fint av det slaget finns i verkligheten. Inte ens i Las Vegas finns det n虍ot liknande! Bilden som s蘚an lever upp av alla m舅niskor och f舐ger p� torget - och 舅nu en glasstrut. I en s蘚an milj� och s蘚ant v臈er g蚌 det inte att ta tr虧iga bilder.

Another good one from Place de la Cath馘rale. The very old Maison Kammerzell with its great timber work does look out of place surrounded by the more modern buildings but it is a special building.

Hallo Lars,
Weerom een reuzegroot hoorntje maar ditmaal met drie ijsbollen.
Het Huis van Kammerzell onderscheidt zich van de andere gebouwen met zijn veel donkerder kleur en overvloedig versierde gevel.
Een bontgekleurde menigte zorgt voor een heel levendige voorgrond.
Zijn er in het centrum van Straatsburg eigenlijk ook gebouwen met saaie gevels die het bekijken niet waard zijn?

This is an excellent photograph, full of life, with those beautiful, eclectic buildings creating a very effective boundary, maintaining interest within the square.
I concentrated on that wooden building, when I was there, and it didn't look as good as this!

This is one of the more relaxed looking street view from the last one and a half years. Beautiful old city setting and people having a good time. Darker building in the middle catches attention well.

I remember these two structures from Strasbourg: the cathedral and this magnificent house. Although at the weather which I had it didn't look as colorful as in your photo.
