The Saintes islands 10 min south from Trois-Rivieres.
People often stay only one day of vacation there. But stay only one night to appreciate the silence (very few cars, only scooters forbidden on the main street...).
The shot was taken from the 'chameau' (camel) where an military watch was set in the 18th century. The fight was between France and England (as always :) ). A known naval battle was named from the Saintes : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Saintes
