Old Nice, a photo from Provence-Alpes-Cote-dAzur, South

Photographer's Note

This was taken amongst the charming little alleyways in Old Nice. I have actually cropped in on a much larger image to avoid some distracting features, such as a wrought iron fence that ran along the bottom of the original shot.

It was right in mid-afternoon with the sun striking the pastel colours and the shutters drawn closed against the heat. Unfortunately we only had a few hours and could not stick around for the light to change in the evening, I am sure the colours would have been entirely different.

first, welcome to this site, is a good place for those that we love the photography and want to know the world.
Your composition is simple, agreeable and you have obtained a nice graphism, because of a good framing that centres our look on the frontages and the balconies, with a great light and a few magnificent shades.
I like the luminosity and the warm colors that you have obtained in the photo.
