Photographer's Note

There are more images of the cathedral that I would like to present to you. However, I feel that there are number of people who are interested in other images as well. I would like to propose to take a break from Chartres and return to Paris. And I would also like to post images, which allow you to relate to your memorable visits there. I am very attached to the cathedral and am certain to return to the images at later moment in near future.
My memory does not recall the name of the bridge from which this image of the tower was taken. If not mistaken, this view was photographed possibly from Pont Royal. This day I recall, I took a bus to the tower and for the return trip I decided to walk along the Seine. Sun was still high up enough in the sky, but because of haziness of the day, a combination of Sun, clouds, and the haze, the tower appeared almost translucent in distance. One of cold late afternoons in January, this delicate sunlight provided me a minimum sense of warmth.
