Harvest makes the countryside very graphical these days. Here is a photo I took at the end of the day in a field close to La Meilleraye-en-Bretagne in the north of Nantes.

Beautiful light and colours and great use of contrast. Most photos show the circular surface of those hay bales and I like your original approach.

Bonjour Olivier,

J'aime bien le choix de la profondeur de champs dans cette composition. Tu as bien isol� la botte de foin � l'avant plan, laissant les autres songeuses.

Amazing repetition of the stacked hay bales devoid of the usual white plastic coating seen in other countries. Good use of selective differential focus. The fg bale is in perfect focus. I like the contoured lines too as they add deep perspective and lead in lines. Tfs.

Une belle mise en image de ces bottes de foin, pas toujours 騅ident � photographier. La lumi鑽e est superbe.

PS: en r駱onse � ta question, pour les lavandes la floraison ne dure qu'un mois environ, a partir de fin Juin d饕ut Juillet.
