This is the story of what was a very important commercial shipping route in the 18th century. Punctuated by always impressive lock passages

Salut Didi,pas des problemes si a cause des averses tu n'a pu sortir aujourd'hui,il y a quelque chose de joli dans ton archive....ehehe...magnifique capture de ce pont,le canal est pareil a celui qui passe dans mon village,la choix du moment a ete' decisive avec ces couleurs et ces reflets,super!! Bonsoir Didi,

Les reflets sur l'eau sont des atouts � la composition. La longueur du canal donne de la profondeur � la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les d騁ails du pont. Le coucher de soleil donne de belles couleurs au ciel. Bonne soir馥.

It's when the sky is putting up a fantastic show over the river for us to savour which can also stir peoples' memories of the place. The glassy mirror reflection completes the compo so superbly before the day turns dark. You have retained just sufficient features throughout for the eye to hover around and rest. It's graceful shot and tx for sharing, Congrats

We get an wonderful views on the nice old bridge with reflections and additional pink colours as contrast.
A lovely panorama views with depth and perspective.

Bonjour Didi,
A wonderful view of the river and the bridge. The orange clouds in the pale blue sky make such a wonderful and colourful explosion in the centre of the composition and it is reflected so beautifully in the calm water, along with the arch of the bridge.

Not only are these arched bridges more graceful and elegant, they also seem to have more strength than the box girder style . (I am thinking about the recent bridge disaster in Florida & the much older WestGate Bridge in Melbourne, which both collapsed unexpectedly during construction.) Good sunset colors and nice reflections & sharpnes. Merci pour ce partage.
