Good Morning Starshine, a photo from Rhone Alpes, South

Photographer's Note

Even sight of the valley of "Val d'Arly - Mont-Blanc" (Savoy) from the shot "Stormy Weather", but this time, bathed in the morning sun. We are here at a little lower altitude.

This time, the photo is taken July 14, 2004 to 8h00 AM to show the 1st and last day of good weather during my stay in Savoy. Indeed, it is now time to take the road to join Dijon. Too bad, it will be for a next time (surely this winter).

Finally, don't forget : In mountain, it is necessary to be patient and to adapt oneself to the weather. If weather is not fine, it's not worth taking one's boots, ropes, or crampons : The cold weather and especially the lack of visibility at high altitude will have sooner or later fatally the upper hand. Therefore, it is better to wait wisely than the weather is clement even if coming back empty-handed.

Waaw, great depth you have here. I feel like sitting there on the edge for half an hour and just look and enjoy the landscape. For a guy from the "plat pays", this is of course a very impressive sight. Thanks for sharing.

Avant de lire le titre et la note, je me suis dis que c'騁ait une photo matinale 軋... dommage que ce soit une des derni鑽es de ton s駛our dans les Alpes... L'effet du soleil dans le ciel est excellent et les ombres magnfiques. Bien entendu, un paysage des alpes sous le soleil, c'est toujours tr鑚 agr饌ble � regarder. Bravo!

C'est superbe. Du premier plan � l'horizon le regard se nourrit v駻itablement de ce festin pour les yeux. Une composition tr鑚 bien pens馥, tr鑚駲uilibr馥 � mon sens; et la lumi鑽e est superbe, soulignant merveilleusement toutes les textures. Bravo philippe, j'aime beaucoup la mani鑽e dont tu r饌lise tes images!

Tr鑚 belle vue, un paysage splendide malgr� cette forte lumi鑽e du soleil, je ne la trouve pas trop d駻angeante car elle donne une belle couleur au ciel et n'affecte pas du tout la belle sc鈩e que vous nous pr駸entez sur la gauche, bravo pour cette maitrise, contraste et couleurs magnifiques.

very nice landscape and composition. the sky is a bit overexposed though. you could have used a polarized filter here on top of UV filter. nice shot and nice note.

What a beautiful landscape. The mountains, the path between them winding back, the lighting and the color are amazing. Excellent depth and great textures strengthened by the lighting streaming across the landscape. Very nicely composed. Great job.

A bit overexposed in the right, but, Phil, this a very nice sharp and in good colours scene of the Rhone Alps, nice to sit here for a while

Belle carte postale de cette r馮ion. les couleurs sont superbes. Personnellement je trouve l'autre vue meilleure.
Mais c'est aussi bien.

"Heureux homme" Philippe, pouvoir vivre dans un milieu aussi pr鑚 de la nature, cela change de Paris et la R馮ion Parisienne (cela dit, il existe des endroits charmants aussi). ;-))

Wow, again a supremely crisp landscape shot with a very good depth and wonderful colors. The strong light was very well handled and actually helps to accentuate the features and undulations in the countryside view. Good work, Philippe.

Une tr鑚 belle vue. J'adore l'effet donn� � la photo comme si on plogeait dans la vall馥. La profondeur de l'image ajoute beaucoup � cette vue, nous permettant de voir la s駻ie de montagnes au loin. Finalement, les couleurs resort tr鑚 bien sp馗ialement le vert qui est riche et 馗latant.
