Winter shadows 6, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

A photo taken by a window of the Cit� de l'architecture et du patrimoine which dominates the terrace of Trocad駻o. It is in fact the ancient museum of the French monuments that was transformed and enlarged after more than 10 years of works and which reopened some months ago.
The esplanade of Trocad駻o, called also Place of the human rights, date the World Fair of 1937. It is situated on the hill of Chaillot which faces the Tour Effel and separates two immense detached pavilions of the World Fair (which shelter several museums today).
An intermediate terrace (the one that we see here) connects the esplanade with the gardens of Trocad駻o by main staircases.

I liked the geometry of the place and the big shadows of people walking on the terrace. Looking at the terrace from the top allowed me to see it of a new way.

L弾splanade du Trocad駻o, appel馥 aussi Place des droits de l辿omme, date de l弾xposition universelle de 1937. Elle se situe sur la colline de Chaillot qui fait face � la Tour Effel et s駱are les deux immenses pavillons de l弾xposition universelle (qui abritent aujourd檀ui plusieurs mus馥s).
Une terrasse interm馘iaire (celle que l弛n voit ici) relie l弾splanade aux jardins du Trocad駻o par de grands escaliers.

J誕i bien aim� la g駮m騁rie du lieu et les grandes ombres des gens se promenant sur la terrasse. Regarder d弾n haut m誕 permis de voir cette terrasse d置ne nouvelle mani鑽e.

Tu as raison la g駮m騁rie de la place est flagrante � cette hauteur, et la compo l'accentue d'avantage encore. M麥e � cette hauteur, tu sais jouer avec les lignes : les escaliers sur plusieurs niveaux sont parfaitement cadr駸.
Les ombres sont marrantes, malgr� la hauteur, ces pi騁ons ont l'air de g饌nts !

Hi Diane,

this in one beautiful shot. Such a great light creating special mood with this long shadows. Great composition of already excellentlly composed terrace. Atmosphere is so nice, so domestic, so I wanna be there.

Me gusta mucho la composici de la foto,como has utilizado las l匤eas y la elecci del punto de vista desde arriba. Hay tambi駭 mucho dinamismo con las figuras movi駭dose hacia todos los lados.
Creo que le ir僘 divinamente el blanco y negro.

Tu as bien fait de cr馥r un th鑪e et d'y mettre celle-l� dedans, outre le fait de traiter des ombres celle-l� comme les autres ont un rendu tr鑚 graphique.
Celle l� est int駻essante avec ces jeux de carr駸 et d'angles droits. Un ton de couleurs assez homog鈩e et un bon cadrage sur le lieux qui accentue cet effet graphique.
Bien vu et belle s駻ie.

l'id馥 de cette vue en plong馥 d'un bon POV est bien vue, le lieu a un cot� graphique comme tu le soulignes, la r饌lisation est bonne, le choix du format carr� est judicieux pour rappeler les dessins carr駸 du parvis,

this is another shot in your gallery that caught my attention. It's very unusual how small figures of people complement the whole scene, which probably wouldn't look even close if nobody is present and streets are empty. I like the scale effect that emphasizes the overall dynamics of the scene, it's obvious that people are not still and the place is full of movement. Your relative altitude gives an advantage to capture the whole area, and that's why one can enjoy the geometric patterns that become visible only if you look wider. Light and contrast are excellent. I get an unusual feeling looking at this photo, and I surely like it!
