Photographer's Note
An additional perspective to what I published yesterday: a peek around the creek's bend.
There is no "T" missing as this is not Montreal, Canada, but Monreal, Germany, instead. Nevertheless: the root of their respective names is the same, french "mont royal".
The absolutely picturesque village of less than 800 inhabitants is situated in the valley of Elz creek, which several kilometers downstream flows around world famous Eltz Castle before joining the Moselle.
It has a long history of successful cloth production and can muster two castle ruins in direct vicinity.
This area did not suffer much from the Eifel floodings, the creek gauge just went up by 2 meters, and I could not see any destructions.

Hello Sven,
Monreal is unknown to me.
But it's amazing how the houses, the river and the wooded slope in the background resemble part of the center of Monschau, a town better known by Belgian tourists.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Sven
A beautiful village so it is good that it survived those disastrous floods with minimal or even no damage.
Good reportage.
cheers

Hello Sven,
The double arched bg stone bridge is well positioned in the frame and the stream adds lead in lines and perspective. I love the numerous half timbered houses. Tfs!
