Pink-purple hour, a photo from Schleswig-Holstein, West

Photographer's Note

Not sure if you remember my recent photo from Wismar, I mentioned there that according to wikipedia that church in Wismar was the second highest brick church in the world. The highest in the world was named to be St Marien church in Lubeck (in this photo). It is hard to tell how they define these things sometimes. I remember well the huge church in Gdansk which I think was classified as the second biggest brick church in the world, and it did appear much more impressive than this one here. May be it is the matter of difference between highest and biggest? Or some people just like to exaggerate. Either way St Marien in Lubeck is very impressive indeed.
I thought I will create a special theme with my photos from Lubeck taken at the blue hour, but then I realised that most of photos from Lubeck which I posted here are taken at the blue hour, so if you are interested, have a look at my photos from Lubeck here:

When I already knew I was about to move out of Lubeck and I already had my first digital camera, I spent many evenings walking around the old town.
I initially didn't want to bother you with too many views of Lubeck, but since we are locked down now, I thought, why not :)
BTW, the towers and houses are indeed not straight there.

Fantastic view of L�beck with these two tall twin spires of the church with the brick fa軋des along the water in front of them. The lighting is wonderful and the pink sky add a great mood.

Hello Mariusz,
I remember your photo and the note of Wismar and also these huge towers from an earlier presented blue hour picture.
The sky is wonderfully ranging in colours from purple to blue in the upper right corner.
Very attractive architecture in L�beck.

Hello Mariusz,

It is interesting to see photographs taken at this time of day because the colours, as you know, will immediately be different.
There is a warm glow over the buildings, whilst the sky is turning from blue hour to the purply reds. The effect reminds me of the effects that are on stages, when they are showing the evening time.

(I can't help seeing the twin towers as two pixies, wearing pointed hats!)

Tutaj inny zestaw kolorow, niebo z rozu przechodzi w fiolet, a zolte okna stanowia swietny dodatek do calosci. Fascynujace sa tez ksztalty w architekturze, nie tylko wieze, ale tez fasada na pierwszym planie.
Samochody u dolu zdjecia przenosza nas z powrotem do XXI wieku.

Hello Mariusz, I am glad that you mentioned that the towers are not straight, I did wonder.
The building to the left of the towers also has an interesting design.
The pink-purple sky is a good complement to the buildings.

I do wonder how some of these statistics, such as you mention, are arrived at.

Esplendida esta foto nocturna, con la altisima silueta de las dos torres, el edigicio de la izquierda se ve fant疽tico y muy antiguo, con ese escalonamiento de su fachada y ventanas, la iluminacion nocturna y el rojo de los ladrillos, da a la noche un calido tono rosado.
muy bien gestionadas tanto la luminosidad como la nitidez, asi como muy bien realizado su escaneo.
Una foto muy hermosa. Me gusta.

amazing nocturne shot. I liked it a lot and I liked the church, maybe the highest because the towers. beautiful those white details in the fa軋de. very beautiful sample of local architecture.
