Photographer's Note
I mentioned before that I would like to have in my TrekEarth gallery 100 photos from each country in which I had a chance to live. Indeed, I have here already 100 or more photos from Poland, Ireland, UK and USA. Sometimes it is not easy if the time I lived there was in the pre-digital era. For example, while in Germany I lived in Erlangen (1 year), Munich (3.5 years) and Lubeck (2.5 years). In Erlangen I had just a cheap quality compact camera. In Munich I bought my first analog SLR (EOS 300). In Lubeck I bought my first digital camera (EOS 350D). In the consequence I have more photos here from Lubeck than from Munich, even though I liked Munich so much more and I spent there altogether more time. With this photo I managed to reach the number of 100 photos from Germany in my TrekEarth gallery.
This photo presents again the spires of Dom, the cathedral of Lubeck from yet another point of view. The old towns in Germany are indeed very well lit by night which makes them great subjects for blue hour photography. It is not always the case in the UK. May be they are more environmentally friendly here. However even though the main subjects are well lit, there are always some narrow dark streets. This photo was taken from one of them. The Dom towers made lovely silhouettes but I trimmed the excess of the black street, turning to a bookmark format.

Hello Mariusz, the 礎ookmark presentation accentuates the height of the spires, they are so elegant and look beautiful in the night-time illumination.
The blue hour sky is the perfect background.
The tight framing works well too.
Interesting notes.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Mariusz,
Congratulations with your 100th picture of Germany on this site!
Imagine that the rule is that you have to live in every country as soon as you show 100 photos of it. Then you have to pay attention whether you want to show more pictures of Spain.
I've also used the bookmark format when I wanted to avoid boring side parts.
I suppose you may have written this before but I forgot. Only now it strikes me that both towers are not identical.
Nor are they the same height. Or is that difference just because they were at a slightly different distance from you?
Anyway, a splendid blue hour bookmark!
Best regards, Paul

Hello Mariusz,
An excellent photo from the narrow streets of Lbeck, the composition is very well cropped also. The illuminated church towers stand out so well from the dark blue sky. The details and patterns of the spires are beautiful as well.

Hello Mariusz,
I really like this tight crop, where the lamp appears to be looking towards the spires but providing no extra light as they are so well illuminated already!
They stand out really well against the blue hour sky, with their orange glowing brickwork supporting the needle-like structures of the spires.
It's a fine composition!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Mariusz,
A narrow portrait format suits well on the scene. Tall church spires are quite impressive and very well illuminated. Exposure is just right. Luckily the cars are in shadow so they don't distract the view.

Hello Mariusz,
A fantastic blue hour shot with good sharpness and the twin spires add symmetry. Smart choice of a vertical format. Tfs!

Hi Mariusz
Wonderful composition at the blue hour, the cathedral towers with their great height rise behind the cream building like two giants, the dark facades and the unlit lamppost create greater relevance for the beautiful towers.
Point of view, sharpness, lightness, color and the chosen composition are excellent.
A very beautiful photo. I like.
Have a nice day.
Kind regards.
Luis.
