Photographer's Note

During a walk at lake of castle Dyck I met a couple of black swans,I find these birds fascinating!

The Black Swan (Cygnus atratus) is a large waterbird, a species of swan, which breeds mainly in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia. The species was hunted to extinction in New Zealand, but later reintroduced. Within Australia they are nomadic, with erratic migration patterns dependent upon climatic conditions. Black Swans are large birds with mostly black plumage and red bills. They are monogamous breeders that share incubation duties and cygnet rearing between the sexes.(Wikipedia)

For personal reasons, the black swan (cygnus atratus), is special to me. Your beautiful photo, with a mysterious interplay of light and shadow, is really nice. There is a dreamy quality to the photo, enhanced by the reeds scattered around the water, and the ripple made by the swan on the left.

πανέμορφη και συναρπαστική εικόνα! Έμαθα ότι υπάρχουν μαύροι κύκνοι μόλις πέρισυ διαβάζοντας το βιβλίο του Ν.Ν. Τάλεμπ. Great shot with the view gets to concentrate on the amazing swans such eye-catching birds amongst the reeds. Lovely tones and light, a very reminiscent of a painting. This is a very eye catching shot in the mids of lovely glimpses of soft light and reflection which does convey a mood of peace and tranquility and yet a dreamlike atmosphere it conveys. Lovely colours here. I thought it was a painting from the thumbnail. The yellowness of the grass contrasts very well with the blue reflection of the sky. And the swans look very busy searching for something.
