Another year comes to an end - like this day on banks of North Sea in the very north of Germany.
A HAPPY NEW YEAR to all friends here on TE!

This photo was taken when tide was out and so you can see the glittering mudflat.
Looking carefully one can see two hikers just in front of the sun � a not riskless hike.
Without knowing the exact times of ebb and flow a hike like this can be dangerous to life because the coming back water definitely will be much faster than these hikers. Besides this there are many tidal creeks in the tidelands (in German: Priel) which cut off the way back to the coast and often also all at once appearing sea fog is another problem. Each year some of these hikes end tragically ...
The range of tide here is about 6 meters!

Light of the setting sun reflects beautifully from the sand. Really impressive sky. And closer look reveals a nice surprise as there's a couple just on the right place where the sun sets.

This is fantastic, love the colours of this sunset over the mud flats and had to look hard but the people against the lowering sun are positioned perfectly. You waited just for the right moment.
