Photographer's Note

This is a part of one of the huge stained glass windows of Cologne cathedral, the so called Нativity Window�.

This window was made in 1507 and its height is about 18 meters. It is is a donation of the city council to the cathedral.

The total area of stained glass windows in Cologne cathedral amounts to 10000 mｲ and the oldest still existing window of the cathedral was made about the year 1250/1260.

It is surprising that this magnificent window and others like it survived the war. Perhaps, they were removed and put away for safekeeping? The colours and detail are amazing and you have known how to capture them perfectly. A Very Merry Christmas to you and yours.
