My photo was taken last winter in the low mountain range of Rothaargebirge here in southern Westphalia.

Snow covered trees look so good against bright blue sky. I also like those sunlight patches on the ground. I can imagine such condition don't usually last for long in Germany.

Hallo lieber Frank,
Schoen Dich hier wiederzusehen; selbst wenn's nur zwei mal im Jahr ist (Weihnachten udn Sylvester).
Diese Winterliche Landschaft ist ganz toll aber wenn ich daran denke was es alles passiert wenn's nur ein Bruchteil davon hier in İstanbul bei uns vorkommt ! Oh Gott oh Gott... Die letzten drei Tage hatten wir hier Schnee (vielleicht nur 6-8 cm dick) und kein Flugverkehr, kein Schiffverkehr am Bosphorus etc etc.
Die Leute kauften die Laeden leer mit der Angst dass sie vielleicht fuer laengere Zeit eingesperrt werden wuerden !

Ce matin, oh miracle, nous avons eu le droit � un peu de neige, mais pas de cette fa輟n � travers cette superbe image. Le blanc sur les arbres habille joliment ces derniers, le tout ressort avec beaut� sur ce ciel bleu pur.

The length of the trail is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the trees covered with snow. I like the effect of the light on the snow. Have anice day.

how could i not like this one?
the combination of whites and blues always looks so attractive. Throw in the darkened colour of the tree trunks and you have a winner.
really like the weighted down snow branches too.
