Photographer's Note

A Merry Christmas to all TE members who celebrate it in North, South, East or West! For us, it will be a special Christmas as our first grandson has been born.

The poor and non-winterly weather gave me a lack of occasion to photograph nocturnal Christmas decorations, so I take this 2017 image from the Ahrweiler Christmas market - obviously with some cold and snow which we are lacking totally here in Germany.
St. Laurentius parish church is the oldest hall church in Rhineland and will celebrate her 750th anniversary in 2020.

Hi Sven,it's impossible to see a pic of Christmas markets with snow in this year..ehehe...so it's a good idea to show this old one,great atmopshere on the square under the cathedral in this nice and rich composition,i like it! Merry Christmas to you too and thanks,Luciano

The weather has been awkward in many places in Europe this year. Lucky you have a wintery photo taken only 2 years ago. Where I am now, last White Christmas was in 2014.
Lovely combination of bluish ambient light and golden hues of the stalls.

Sven, the Christmas market is established near that splendid old church. Wooden huts house the stalls where food, drinks, handicrafts and gifts are sold to the passersby. Fine colors, good sharpness, bonnes f黎es de fin d'ann馥!
