From W�rzburg we motored down the old Romantische Strasse south...

THE ROMANTISCHE STRASSE is a well-travelled tourist route from W�rzburg in northern Bavaria all the way down up to the Alps in the south. Along the way, often but certainly not always along lovely countryside roads, you'll find lots of romantic old towns and villages.

ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER is the main place along the Romantic Strasse. This well-preserved town, enclosed by robust rampants, is pretty touristy (even in corona times), but the abundance of old half-timbered houses is most photogenetic.

THIS PICTURE shows the top half of an old granery located near the edge of town, not far from the town walls and a major parking space.

Goedemiddag Benny,

U toont ons heel mooi de topgevel van het gebouw.
De cordons maken een mooie scheiding tussen de ramen
Alles mooi gesloten met luiken en deuren.
Mooi scherp en aangenaam om naar te kijken met de blauwe hemel in de achtergrond.
Mooi foto werk, bedankt.

You used the triangular top of this building for a very neat and symmetric composition. The sharpness, light and colours also make this very eye-catching. And you resisted the temptation to tilt it artistically. ;-)

hello Benny, Rothenburg ob der Tauber is maybe the most beautiful old town in Germany but very very touristy. Probably not so much during COVID. well observed this triangular facade. Stunning composition. Best regards Malgo

Dag Benny,
Prachtige keuze om de driehoek hier bepalend te laten zijn voor de compositie.
Niet alleen ontstaat zo een mooi geometrisch patroon maar krijgen de ramen en deuren de juiste aandacht.
