Leutaschtal, a photo from Bayern, West

Photographer's Note

We were hiking in the mountains around Mittenwald. On our ascent to the Arnspitze, we had a picture postcard view into the Leutaschtal (Tyrol/Austria). I admit, it's very close to kitsch with the alpine roses and everything, but it was very nice to look at.
Contrast ist slightly enhanced, otherwise unedited.

Very nice shot Oliver, nice composition and colours. I like this halfly shaded by clouds valley. This photo could be a postcard from Tirol.

Spectacular view from your high vantage point looking down into the valley floor and up the mountains on other side.
It looks like a very tempting location from which to launch off in a deltaplane and glide through the valley like a bird:-)
Nice balance of sky, mountains and valley.

Oliver, that's exactly my kind of view here - no kitsch-related apologies needed as far as I'm concerned. A splendid mountain scenery with the jagged, cloud-topped peaks in the back. Your use of foreground not only adds color, but even more so perspective and depth, as does the viewing angle into the Leutaschtal which makes a nice diagonal through your picture. Well done, that sounds like a hike of which I'd like to see you share a few more pictures ;-)

Without the roses, the picture would only be half worth. I like the straight road at the bottom of the valley.

Why 'kitsch' ?
That's a beautiful view to be shared. You were right in including the flowers, it adds color to contrast with the dominant green. Very good exposure also, in spite of the shadows in the valley. Well seen and done, Oliver.

This is a view that only a handful of people in the world can see firsthand, so it is a special one, as far as I'm concerned. I wish I had this view from my window. ;-)

The band of pink flowers along the bottom of the photo make a nice border. The cloud shadows on the ground are well captured too. Your overall composition is really good!

I am not complaining. The view here is just fine. The vista makes you want to see down and soak it all in.
Its not about technical stuff on photography now. It's more about what to see and take.

Bonjour, je trouve cette photo tr鑚 belle, par sa profondeur, l'ombre de la montagne de gauche venant effleurer les flancs de celle de droite, sa richesse de couleurs, ses nuages qui sont venus expres prendrent la pause pour r駱ondre aux fleurs rouges du premier plan. C'est tr鑚 joli.

Great Picture,
the alpine roses makes the composition.

I like the colors at the mountians seems the rocks are scarfed when I see the colors.
(maybe Ice).

Sehr sch. Es erinnert mich ein biﾟchen an das Kleinwalsertal in dem ich vor vielen Jahren einige male Ski gelaufen bin. Aber es gibt wahrscheinlich viele solcher T舁er in den Alpen. Sehr gute Aufnahme mit einer guten Tiefensch舐fe und vielen Details.

Great landscape, I think it's the composition that gained my attention here - the way the valley leads my eyes from top left to bottom right. Colors and the colorful line of flowers adds a nice feeling to it. Well done.
