Photographer's Note

Dear friends of TE, this is my last photograph up to March 25,2007 that I will return from a travel to China,Hong-Kong.

The village Nymfaio is characterized as "traditional settlement" and is protected from the Greek legislation as well as from European conventions.Built in the 1400 metres in aerie the Eastern Vitsi, cast a spell on the visitor that discovers it only that in the last turn of street.

Confine from a splendid forest of beech and is crossed by paved paths and stone made home.The last years with the contribution of important individuals that comes from the village, as his chairman Nikolaos Mertzos and the family Mpoutari has become pole of attraction of appreciable tourism.

In the region is activated the organisation of Arktourou with a centre of briefing on the brown bear 1 1/2, km outside from the village.In this installations are entertained 13 bears that most have been confiscated by gipsies and zoos gardens and are considered impossible their rehabilitation in the natural environment.The centre of briefing is open for common most months of year.

In the region they have been almost created enough guest -houses, however never they do not suffice one and visit it is big.In the village also exists also the semi-dejected headquarters of Pavlos Melas, while the old school,the Nikeios faculty,the village that did not function for a lot of years because lack of students henceforth constitute Congress centre of Aristotelian University Thessalonica.

είχαν έμπνευση αυτοί που τοποθέτησαν τα παγκάκια στο μέρος αυτό του Νυμφαίου,με θέα που φτάνει μέχρι την άκρη του βουνού.Τα Χειμερινά χρώματα δεσπόζουν της φωτογραφίας.

Δάνο, καλή ώρα και τώρα λείπεις και το καλό πού σου θέλω να γυρίσεις στα γρήγορα..κάποια μέρα θα δείς όλες σου τίς φωτογραφίες να έχουν μετακομίσει στα αγαπημένα μου...μην ρωτάς γιατί...ξέρεις!!!

Thought you would be going back to those two benches, Danos - but merely it was a farewell before your China trip.
Anyway, whoever placed the benches thought of a tourists/travelers who might be taking a rest from the hike and enjoy the landscape in front.
Winter colors on a partly cloudy day - well rendered.
