Old Panteleimonas, a photo from Pieria, Macedonia

Photographer's Note

The old Panteleimonas(Παλαιός Παντελεήμονας)village is three kilometres far away from the castle. It's in a very good position ,about five hundred meters above the sea. In this site you will be amazed from the traditional Greek style and buildings architecture . It's a place that everyone can relax.In the square of the village there is a big plan-tree, the church of Saint Panteleimonas and a fountain with cold natural water from mountain of Olympus. Also there are restaurants that you can taste special and excellent food and have your coffee watching the panoramic view.

Hi Vasilis,
Nice capture ! Well seen and composed. Even before I had read your notes I was thinking, it must be in Northern Greece, with so much green !
The orange roofs of the houses puts life in the scenery.

Όταν ήμουν σε διακοπές στην πόλη Λεπτοκαρυά, πήρα ένα ταξίδι προς το χωριό του Παλαιού Παντελεήμονα και το κάστρο δίπλα του, άξιζε τον κόπο. Όμορφα φωτογραφημένη στο φυσικό κόκκινες στέγες τους, πλαισιωμένο με την πρασινάδα. Εξαιρετική ιδέα.

Ο Παλαιός Παντελεήμονας είναι πράγματι ωραίος, και αξίζει να τον επισκεφθεί καθένας που ενθουσιάζεται από την παράδοση και την ηρεμία κοντά στην φύση. Η θέα προς τις ορεινές πλαγιές αλλά και την θάλασσα είναι υπέροχη από το χωριό αυτό.

Here, the place looks quite attractive too!
I love the chosen pov, composition, colors, horizontal format and black & white borders, but I miss a tiny bit more of sharpness and contrasts!
