Photographer's Note
When I went on this excursion, on the second week my digital camera broke, so I had to take all my photos with my compact camera and therefore lose the corresponding quality of a digital camera; a real shame for all those incredible places I visited. So I keep scanning them bit by bit to show them, even though it was a while ago I made the journey.

Hola Jose,
too bad about losing your camera just when beginning such a trip, on the other way you can see this as an opportunity to upgrade ! I've been playing with a Canon A95 compact and comparing it with my Dimage 7, it delivers excellent colors.
The house blue colors are great on your photo, the roof is unfortunately a bit overexposed, I like the stairs on the side, due to the geography, I guess there must be plenty of such stairs in that village !

Bonitos colores y muy buena composici desde este punto de vista que elegiste. Me trae buenos recuerdos, estos blancos, estos azules, estos ocres... hace unos 5 as estuve all�, y creo que tendr� que hacer como tu, escanear las mas bonitas, ya que tambi駭 iba con una c疥ara compacta sencilla. Todav僘 no andaba muy metido en la fotograf僘. Muy buen trabajo Jose Manuel.

Hello Jose. Too bad about what happened with your camera, but for this one I would say you got a fine quality from the scan. The pastel colors are a standout in this one, and the viewpoint from above gave you a fine graphical quality from the way the architectural elements are arranged. Very pleasant work.

Cuando uno sabe hacer buenas fotos hasta con una Polaroid o el tel馭ono mil le salen. Y 駸te es el mejor ejemplo de lo que digo, Jos� Manuel. Los colores son vivos y atractivos y el punto de vista es estupendo para mostranos todos los detalles de la casa. Me gusta el tejado o azotea blanca y esa escalera que no acabo de entender donde termina.

Si tu serie de fotos sobre Grecia van a ser todas como estas primeras que has colgado en Internet, esto va a ser un delirio de bonito. Bueno, menos flores y m疽 la grano... Creo que has sabido jugar muy bien con los colores y con la perspectiva, tiene un buena profundidad de campo. Impresionante... Very good composition with amazing colors. Amazing blue, accentuated by the white surfaces and the subtle yellow lines. Only the right part with the green parasol and the red-white tiles could be cropped in my opinion.

Great picture, the composition & colurs are excellent. You explain in your note how your digital camera had broken - but an image like this proves that it's not necessarily the camera but the photographer who really makes a good photo. Well done!

This is a very nice shot with a perfect composition. If you did not say where, the shot already tells you it has been shot in Greece with the beautiful blue and white balance. Good work. Once again it is always the eye which captures the shot, thus just a compact is as good in the hands of one with a good eye. Cheers,
