Smoke on the water, a photo from Dodekanisos, South Aegean

Photographer's Note

There have been forest fires in Turkey for days, in Antalya and around Marmaris, with 29 focal points.
The day before yesterday afternoon, a cloud of smoke reached the island of Rhodes, although Marmaris 20-25, Antalaya is about 100-120 km from the island.
I shot the photo last night in Rhodes Town from the balcony of our apartment.

I did not make any color corrections in the photo

Nice nightshot, well captured with these lights and this sky between soft colors and smoke with this fire in Turkey, impressive, tfs.

Hi Csaba,i saw yesterday on TV the big fires in the turkish coast, in fact Marmaris is very far to Rhodes, so the smoke is go there too,a perfect capture of this moment in a lovely sunset. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Great post, it's a reportage and a beautiful landscape photo at the same time. It is indeed very far for this cloud of smoke to travel. I would never know that if I hadn't read your notes.
