Ithaka. (A poem from Kostas Kavafis)
Always keep Ithaca in your mind.
To arrive there is your ultimate goal.
But do not hurry the voyage at all.
It is better to let it last for many years;
and to anchor at the island when you are old,
rich with all you have gained on the way,
not expecting that Ithaca will offer you riches

Κώστα καλημέρα,
εγώ πάλι νομίζω ότι η κάθε επιστροφή,είναι επιστροφή στην Ιθακη του καθενός.Εχεις αποδόσει πολύ ρομαντικά αυτό το δειλινό με τα υπέροχα χρώματα και το convoy των ιστιοφόρων να γυρνάνε στο λιμάνι τους.Το ποίημα του Καβάφη επίκαιρο όσο ποτέ.

lovely poem and an impressive view taken from a good pov kosta... were you on a hill on the island against the mainland or all we see here is the poros itself? the row of boat ant the copper tones on the sky add a lot to the charm of this beautiful shot file mou, a really good one...

Γειάσου Κώστα, από ότι ξέρω ο Οδυσέας όταν επέστρεψε δεν είχε τόσα πλοία μαζί του, όταν εφευγε τα είχε.
ΘΑΥΜΑΣΙΑ εικόνα φίλε Κώστα πολύ πολύ ταιριαστη με το ποίημα.

Hello Kostas,
this image caught my eye because of the atmosphere, photographed in a time of day when colours are getting muted, you make well use of the backlight to create this fine image, good sky above, nicely reflected from the water. That row of boats is very delightful. Very good frame too.

Πώς μου αρέσουν αυτές οι ώρες της ημέρας. Μετά από μία ζεστή μέρα τα χρώματα γίνονται απαλά κι έρχεται η νύχτα να μας δροσίσει... Εξαιρετική σε όλα.

Good photo, simple, but pleasant. Lovely colours in the sky! Like the border too..and the little boats in the distance..good addition to the scene, your lucky with that I guess!

Γεία σου Κώστα,επέστρεψες επιτέλους στην Ιθάκη του ΤΕ,,Τα ιστιοφόρα είναι η αδυναμία μου, μου άρεσε το κάθετο κάδρο, την από μακρυά λήψη και το απαλό χρώμα του ουρανού. Έδωσες ένα ονειρεμένο τοπίο, επιστροφής, που σε συνδιασμό με την επιστροφή στην Ιθάκη του μεγάλου Καβάφη, έδεσε τέλεια.

Γεια σου Κώστα,

Πολύ ωραία σύνθεση, ωραίο και το "timing" με όλα τα ιστιοφόρα στη σειρά. Τα χρώματα επίσης είναι πανέμορφα.

Πιθανόν η ίδια λήψη να έδειχνε το ίδιο καλά και σε οριζόντιο πλάνο...

Πρέπει κάποια στιγμή να επισκεφθώ και τον Πόρο αφού από ότι έχω δει και μέσα από τις φωτογραφίες σου, είναι πανέμορφα εκεί...

Τι να γραψω για αυτην την υπεροχη θαλασσογραφια!Δεν ειναι μονο τα ζεστα χρωματα που κανουν τοσο αισθαντικη τη φωτογραφια,τα καραβακια δημιουργουν μια γραμμη,μια κατευθυνση προς το αγνωστο...την ιθακη των σκεψεων μας.Ειδα την φωτογραφια σου χθες το βραδυ καθως επεστρεψα απο τις διακοπες μου και ακομη στειχειωνει μεσα μου!Τοσο ομορφη σαν ενα αληθινο και ατελειωτο καλοκαιρι...

Όμορφη εικόνα, νοσταλγική ατμόσφαιρα. Οι γραμμες στο νερό που αφήνουν τα ιστιοπλοϊκά, μας δείχνουν τον πηγαιμό για την Ιθάκη.... Όμορφα χρώματα και καλή απόδοση. Μπράβο!

Hello Kostas,

This is indeed a beautiful shot, accompanied by a simple but elegant frame, and an extraordinary poem. The photo itself has the curve of the line of boats that adds a measure of order. There is a minimalist quality in the photo, the boats are no more than dots, and the land simply a narrow ribbon. The dominance of the sky and sea creates figurative poetry of its own.
