Οι ΚΑΡΥΑΤΙΔΕΣ όπως φαίνονται από τα δυτικά. Μπροστά τα υπολείμματα του αρχαϊκού ναού της Πολιάδος Αθηνάς. Εδώ κάπου είναι ο τάφος του Κέκροπα.

Εδώ λατρευόταν ο Ποσειδών-Ερεχθέας. Λέγεται πως εδώ υπάρχει το χάσμα γης, δηλαδή ο τάφος του Ερεχθέα, καθώς και ο τάφος του Κέκροπα. Και οι δυο ετιμώντο ως προστάτες της πόλεως. Μαζί τους και ο τοπικός ήρωας Βούτης, αδελφός του Ερεχθέα.
Στο βορειοδυτικό σημείο αρχίζει ένα μεγαλοπρεπές πρόπυλο που οδηγεί στο άδυτο του Ποσειδώνα. Στο δάπεδό του που άλλοτε κάλυπτε αλμυρό νερό, διακρίνονται τα σημάδια από την τρίαινα του θεού και το χάσμα. Εδώ ήταν η περίφημη Ερεχθηίς θάλασσα, όπου όταν φυσούσε αέρας νότιος ακουγόταν ήχος κύματος.

Ο Δ. Γρ. Καμπούρογλου, γράφει για το ΕΡΕΧΘΕΙΟΝ.
Δεν γνωρίζω αν εν γνώσει των θρύλων και του ιστορκού παρελθόντος του τρισυποστάτου και πολυδαιδάλου οικοδομήματος της Αθηνάς, του Ποσειδώνος, του Ερεχθέως, του Κέκροπος, της Πανδρόσου, του φοβερού εξ ουρανού κατελθόντος ελαιομόρφου και Γοργονειοφόρου ξοάνου, του Δαίμονος της πόλεως Δράκου των παραμυθιών μας... αν εν γνώσει πάντων τούτων, απεφάσισαν οι Χριστιανοί κατά τους Βυζαντινούς χρόνους, να το μετατρέψουν και αυτό εις εκκλησίαν της Θεοτόκου και εις ΜΗΤΡΟΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΟΝ ευκτήριον μάλιστα.
Ατυχώς, ο μακαρίτης Ευτυχιανός και ο πρωτοψάλτης του Παρθενώνος Ιωάννης, που εχάραξαν επί των κιόνων του Ερεχθείου ευχάς και επικλήσεις, δεν ηυδόκησαν να μας διαφωτίσουν περί τούτων ασφαλώς.
Επί Φραγκοκρατίας θέλουν το Ερεχθείον αρχοντικόν μέγαρον και αυτό, προς μεγάλην ευχαρίστησιν του Τούρκου φρουράρχου, που το ηύρεν έτοιμον και εγκατέστησεν εκεί το χαρέμι του, χαρεμιλίκι με σαράντα συζύγους και έναν αγάν!.
Εις την σειράν των σωζομένων εικόνων, αίτινες παριστώσιν το Ερεχθείον κατά διαφόρους αιώνας, είναι και μία εις την οποίαν κάποιος Τούρκος αποθαυμάζει μίαν Καρυάτιδα, σαν να λέγη μέσα του: ｫΤι ωραία γυναίκα που θα ήταν πριν την μαρμαρώσουν τα στοιχειά! Κρίμα που δεν μου την άφησαν αμαρμάρωτην!...ｻ.

Καλημέρα Νικηφόρε, θα ξεκινήσω από το σημείωμα που είναι πάρα πολύ καλό, σαν γλώσσα και σαν ιστορικό-πληροφοριακό σημείωμα.
Η φωτογραφία σου με το φως και τους χρωματικούς τόνους δίνει την σωστή εντύπωση και ατμόσφαιρα που της αρμόζει.
Η γωνία λήψης είναι επίσης πάρα πολύ καλή και δίνει την τρισδιάστατη εντύπωση.

amazing image.I love this kind of pictures, the sepia tones fits perfectly and the contrast with the sky is astonishing.
Colors, perspective and cultural aspects are everything here. The best of Erecteion I have ever seen. Bravo.

Νικηφόρε καλησπέρα,
πολύ ωραίο το μαυρόασπρο format από τις Καρυάτιδες.Τα άσπρα μάρμαρα λες και ξεπηδάνε από το περιβάλλον που βρίσκονται και γίνονται τρισδιάστατα.Η προοπτική που έχεις δώσει και το σημείο λήψης είναι εξαιρετικά.Οι λεπτομέρειες και το φως βγάζουν μάτι.Το σημείωμά σου πολύ λεπτομερές.

With the treatment in B&W you have given a strong contrast and a very special exposure to this image of the Caryatids, in an angle that increases the beauty and the perspective of the temple. In addition, stands out its great sheen and lighting on a very dark, a bit sub-exposed sky.
It is an interesting work and with a great graphical effect.

I've seen photos from the Acropolis because I want ideas and also new places for visit. And then I've found this one.
I think a square format would be good for this photo.
