Photographer's Note

Αγαπητοί μου φίλοι,
Σήμερα δημοσιεύω το 50ο μου έργο.

Θέλω να πώ ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ στους ανθρώπους της κοινότητας που με υποστήριξαν.
Ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ στους έξοχους συμπατριώτες μου που με την μεγάλη τους καρδιά και ευχαρίστηση, με αγκάλιασαν και με έκαναν να νοιώσω τόσο οικεία ανάμεσα τους σα να είμαι ένα κομμάτι τους.

Αυτή η φωτογραφία είναι ένα μικρό δείγμα ευγνωμοσύνης μου προς όλους τους θεατές που αφιέρωσαν χρόνο βλέποντας και σχολιάζοντας τη συλλογή μου που ομολογώ ξεπέρασε κατά πολύ τις προσδοκίες μου σε διάρκεια δυο μόλις μηνών από τότε που έγινα μέλος της κοινότητας.

Οι χρυσοί τόνοι της εικόνας εκφράζουν τα συναισθήματα μου απέναντι σας.

Dear TE friends,
Today is my 50th post

I want to thank all the people who supported me.
I also want to thank all the Greek members for their support and love, making me feel like a part of their family.

This photo is a small token of my appreciation to all of you who have visited and commented my work which went far beyond of my expectations in a short amount of time, only two months!

The golden tones represent my feelings to all of you in this great and warm community.

My 50th post took me half a day to create and look that way, since the original one is really messed up.

About the shot:

A very difficult angle from that POV, I was standing in a tight space where beside me was a huge ship, check my workshop and you'll understand why.

Although I couldn't just let this scene go away. I just couldn't believe my eyes!

RAW Post Processing Notes:

Phew!!! where should I begin?
- Exposure adjustments
- Contrast adjustments
- Levels adjustments (mid tones)
- Clone stamp to remove the lines of the boat near me (the most difficult post processing part in order to avoid erasing the other lines of the main ship)
- Clone stamp to remove a part of the boat near me (easy, hehe)
- White balance Soft GOLD
- Hue to Soft GREEN
- Brightness and contrast minor adjustments
- Saturation increased
- Layer duplication
- Soft focus over 2nd layer (Layer blending mode set to darken)
- Soft Clarification adjusted
- Frame added
- Title added
- JPEG optimization up to 200kb for TE!

I wanted the whole scene to look like a ship keeping safe a treasure chest. For I selected a pirate font and a golden fairy tale atmosphere to travel in different ages different feelings, away from our daily life!

This picture is special for me and devoted to all of you!

Wonderful shot! The lighting is just amazing, so beautiful. I like the composition too, with that diagonal line of the clouds cutting across the frame and making the sky such an interesting part of this photo. Congratulations on reaching 50 photos. I haven't had a chance to look at your photos yet, but it looks like you have some real beauties there. Hope we get to see lots more from you!

I love the scene.....such great lighting across the frame, and it is beyond the normal silhouetted image. You've captured great depth and feel in this photo, and a fantastic cloud formation in the sky. This is a very suitable image for your 50th posting. Well done.

What an extended and detailed note !
Congratulation on your 50 th, Stelios
Very nice golden tone here. I would like to see more details of the sheep especially in the left side. Not easy with the back light but with a RAW shot, I think its possible. At the framing level, cutting the top of the ship is a pity.
Although, it's really a pleasant shot with great light and astonishing sky.

I must say that I clearly prefer this photograph with your WS. Which atmosphere in this image, it is magic almost unreal. Superb treatment of the colors and the light. Πόσο πολύ τελικά μπορεί να αλλάξει αυτό που κατέγραψε ο φακός!
Είναι προφανές ότι η �σμιλεμένη� έκδοση υπερέχει σε ατμόσφαιρα και ως εκ τούτου τραβάει τα βλέμματα!
Δεν θα προσθέσω τίποτε άλλο γιατί θα σου προσθέσω βάρος. Ο καλλιτέχνης δεν πρέπει να είναι βαρύς, γιατί πρέπει να μπορεί να ελίσσεται. Άλλωστε το βάρος αυτό τον κάνει να επαναπαύεται και να μην αναζητά νέους προορισμούς, νέες ιδέες. Χρειάζεται λίγο-λίγο και αυτό να καίγεται στο βωμό της ανανέωσης.
Δεν θα ενοχλήσω περαιτέρω την σκέψη σου.
Να περάσεις καλά το Σαββατοκύριακο και τα λέμε πάλι.

Στέλιο έλειψα διακοπές ενώ εσύ έστελνες αριστουργήματα!Καταπληκτική τεχνική και επεξεργασία,πάνω απ όλα όμως μια ολοκαίνουργια φρέσκια ματιά στο αγαπημένο Ναύπλιο.Ενα έργο τέχνης χωρίς καμία υπερβολή!

Δυο πράγματα:
1) Αν ήμουν ΤΕ admin θα απέσυρα την φωτογραφία αυτή σαν ΗPP
2) Μετά βέβαια ή θα την έκανα αφίσα στο δωμάτιό μου ή κορνίζα ή desktop background.
Από αυτά εξηγώ τις σκέψεις μου: Άριστη τεχνική και επίδειξη δεξιοτήτων στο PS. Από την άλλη είναι πολύ Post Processed κάτι που υποτίθεται δεν ταιριάζει εδώ. Προσωπικά την βρίσκω καλύτερη από τις περισσότερες που απορρίπτονται και από την πραγματικότητα την ίδια μερικές φορές. Θυμίζει όνειρο και το χρυσοπράσινο που μένει στο νου δημιουργεί ενα ευχάριστο συναίσθημα.
Μπράβο από εμένα αν και το παράκανες ευχάριστα με το PP.

The clouds were perfect in this frame and the darkness of the water.
The reflection of the orange and pink sunset on the water is amazing.
